People ask who I’ve written monologues for, and the list is long and sometimes impressively distinguished. (Letterman is on there. Dennis Miller. George Lopez. Ron White. There are big name joke slingers on that roster. Fun peeps to give words to, for sure).
There are also a much bigger collective of people who are super funny, but not as nationally well-known. That list includes the world’s best Irish ranter, and a legend in the standup game, Jimmy Shubert. Here are a few bits I wrote for and with Jimmy.
